The FLUX-Turbo 2.0 is a unique device developed and manufactured entirely in Germany to quickly and easily remove dust and dirt from the record. The Vinyl Turbo combines a carbon fiber brush with an integrated, extremely powerful suction system. But only so strong that the record doesn’t stick due to the suction.
A special cyclone with a replaceable filter was specially developed for this purpose, which makes it possible to achieve strong suction performance despite the small housing size. Surface dust, as well as the dirt that sits deep in the groove, is vacuumed away without leaving any residue within just a few revolutions.
The inner workings of the Turbo are very complex. In order to achieve usable suction power in this small, lightweight housing, each individual part had to be specially developed. Starting with the fan wheel geometry and ending with the shape of the suction channel, optimization was made wherever possible. At the slightly inclined end of the suction channel you can clearly see the integrated guidelines that ensure even suction over the entire area. An elaborate filter construction, whose cartridge can be easily replaced, absorbs the dirt. The capacity of the batteries lasts well over 100 applications.
The brush insert made of real carbon fiber is also grounded so that the record is removed from the static charge, which attracts even more dust. The large contact strip under the switch is responsible for this. This is electrically connected to the conductive brush fibers.
The effect on playback is surprisingly strong. The sound seems liberating. Even complex music with high levels is reproduced with significantly less distortion. Scanning noises, previously characteristic of analog playback, are reduced by up to 50% by suction before listening. The aim here is not to achieve a clinically pure reproduction, but rather to get the most out of everything that is on the record. And that’s a lot. More than anyone had previously dared to hope for.
The key when using the FLUX-Turbo 2.0 is simplicity. Quickly vacuum over the plate and the fun can begin. Listen to records better than ever before.
Only if the LP is free of dust can the pickup system scan the record without noise or distortion.
The best cleanliness result for the record can be achieved if you wet clean your records with a record washing machine and put them dry in a FLUX sleeve record sleeve. You usually do this wet cleaning with many records in a row. Then before playing the FLUX-Turbo 2.0 is used, it pulls the loose dirt, dust etc. out of the groove, the carbon fiber brush removes the static and the record is ready to be played.
Using a conventional brush, you push the particles into the groove so that they become wedged together, creating the crackling sound when the needle jumps over the grain of dust.
